Is Verdasco the New Champ?

According to you guys, the blog readers, Verdasco's your man to break through in the '09.

I chose Andy Murray myself, since he's beaten both Nadal and Federer in the lead up tourneys to Australia.

But, Verdasco beat Murray en route to a spot in the semi-finals and was close to knocking off Nadal. In the end, the old order prevailed as Nadal and Federer are in the men's finals. But I think Verdasco, Murray and a whole host of young twenty-somethings are knocking on the door and will challenge both in the slams.

Lletyon Hewitt

It seems fitting to do an update to an Australian player's page on the brflines site during the Aussie Open.

And so, I've updated Lleyton Hewitt's page on the site with two new pics. Lleyton filled the power vacuum left by Pete Sampras as he aged and before the rise of the FED.

He's still on the scene, but I think the bigger, stronger power players have eclipsed him. Still, he's one of the players that love to wear the colored briefs, so you have to be a fan just cause of that.

I'm not even screening anymore. If I get access to a photo and can put a name to the player, they're being added to the site! Such is the case with Cyril Saulnier from France.

Okay, I admit it. I'm a soccer fan. The sport is still trying to gain more then a toe hold here in the US, but it's a passion everywhere else in the world.

And since so many of the visitors to the brflines blog and to the brflines site are from outside of the US, it only seems fair that they get catered to as well.

So, I will be making more frequent updates (maybe every fifth update) to the sidelines site for non-tennis brief and jock lines pics. Iker Casillas of Spain is one such addition.

Hey guys, I'm still here (barely). That last technical snafu took a lot of wind out of my sails...:(

I did make an update to the brflines site today.

I added a page for Florin Mergea. What can I say about the new addition? Meh.

Anyway, is anyone watching the Aussie Open as well? I'm currently watching the Del Potro v. Muller match on the Tennis Channel. I swear that Del Potro didn't even bother wearing underwear. He bent over and the back of his white shorts was the simple, uninterupted curve of his rockin' tush. And then when they showed him serving you could definitely make out the angle of his dangle.

Muller was either wearing full cut white briefs or short trunks. I'm definitely watching this one!

Fracesco Totti

Hey guys, sorry about not making a post yesterday. I was dealing with yet another technical crisis!

Seriously, though, flash drives are the bane of my existance...

The one I use to store all my brflines information, including page codes, image urls, and the actual photos went dead. It wasn't because I didn't safe eject or anything like that. It just died.

So if anyone has any advice about that, let me know. Luckily, I backed up to my external hard drive on Saturday, but I did a lot of work on the sites on Sunday.
:(((((

Anyway, on to more pleasant news. I'll still send out updates because I made a lot of those in preparation for my very long vacation next month. So, those are still programmed into google, so I can continue making those uninterrupted.

Hi guys. I wanted to apprise you of today's update to the brflines site.

I added a new pic of Vince Spadea to it. Vince is a tour veteran, so he's been around for a while. Not many brflines pics though. Anyway, I attached the one new pic to this post so no need to browse over to the googlepages site.

Also, re: the Sidelines updates. I'll be weaving them into the normal brflines updates so hopefully you'll get a steady diet of those.

Sidelines Re-Launch

Hi guys. I decided to take a break from posting pics of tennis players for a little bit...

I've neglected (since two flash drive meltdowns ago) to do any work on the "Sidelines" page. The side lines are pics that are of non-tennis players, usually international football (aka soccer) and U.S. football players, but also of speedo lines, wrestler lines, and all of that good stuff.

When my flash drive melted down last year, I lost all of those pics. So I had to go through the pages that I did have up to recover them and to start my collection anew. So, I've relaunched the site (which is, in actuality, a subdirectory of the brflines site) with what I have.

So go check it out!

Crap. It is so cold in Chicago! But fear not, followers of the brflines blog and website, another update was made despite my frostbitten fingers not being able to feel the keys with each keystroke :).

So anyway, I added one new pic of Edouard Roger Vasselein to the site. You kind of have to look since he is sitting in the pic, but it's there.

Speaking of "Doud" as the fangrrrls are wont to call him, I was reading an account of a spectator in Australia that was watching a game he was playing against Lukasz Kubot (on the Men's Tennis Fourm). Apparently he had a meltdown and he lashed out at the ball kid. Here's what she said:

Unfortunately in the final set he also lost his temper he yelled at a ballkid: "La balle!" because he wanted to hit a ball over to Kubot's side of the court when it was Kubot's turn to serve.

La Balle?

Ouch! Harsh words, Doud, harsh words indeed.

I think if he yelled it at me, I would take it as some kind of amorous invitation, but that's just me :0). Ciao!

And now, for today's update to the brflines site...

Three new pics were posted on Nico Mahut's page on the site. I recall reading on the MTF that there was some kerfuffel about Nico and Richy sharing the same coach and the coach giving Richy all of the attention and that's why Nico hasn't developed at the same rate as Richy. And then Nico went and got himself a new coach.

In my book, Richy's the cuter one, but I kind of feel bad for Nico in the way I had siblings who got more attention then I did growing up :(

Anyway, that's tangential. Enjoy the pics!!!

So i forgot to mention yesterday that the addition of the two Evgeny Korolev pictures pushed the amount of pictures available on the brflines site to over 1,700!
