Stan "the Man" Wawrinka

Hey guys, made a small update to the brflines site this morning.

Four new pics of Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland were added to his page today.

He's done pretty well and of course, won gold in Beijing with Fed. Hope his run continues this year!!

August's Top 10

It's time for another Top 10!

Novak is starting to pull away from the pack with a whopping 151 pics of is brieflines on the site. Tommy Ro comes in second with 116 and Richy is third with 106. From the top three, there is a steep drop to the rest of the list.

The complete list is as follows:

1. Novak Djokovic (151 photos)
2. Tommy Robredo (116 photos)
3. Richard Gasquet (106 photos)
4. Fernando Verdasco (76 photos)
5. Jarkko Nieminen (56 photos)
6. Andy Roddick (37 photos)
7. Mario Ancic (34 photos)
8. Thomas Johansson (33 photos)
9. Marat Safin (32 photos)
10. Tim Henman (31 photos)

Edouard Roger-Vasselin

The second update for today is Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

There are two out of this world pics that were added to the brflines site of "Doud". I love this guy! Anyway, hope you guys like it too!

Fernando Gonzalez

I hope everyone's been keeping up with the U.S. Open! I haven't had much time for tv, have been travelling a lot. But sometimes, that's the way it goes...

And you just have to roll w/it. Anyway, I added two pics for Nando to the brflines site today. They're pretty old, but my update list at one point after Wimbledon, had reached something like 45 days worth of updates, so I'm still getting around to Wimby photos, much less anything after!

I hope you like it.

Oh, p.s., as compensation for not making a post yesterday, today will feature multiple blog posts, so look out for them!

Vince Spadea

Hi guys, just quickly added Vince Spadea to the site.

Not much to say except that he's 34 and still at it! Hope you guys enjoy the addition.

Dmitry Tursunov

Hey guys, just doing updates from the road. It's yucky in North Carolina...misty and rainy and super humid.

I will say that the men are kind of hot though...Anyway, thank goodness the hotel I'm in has cable television so I can watch the US Open! I added a pic of Dmitry Tursunov to the site today (and attached it to this post).

I hope you guys like it.

Triangle

Guys, I forgot to mention that I'll be in the Research Triangle area in NC at the beginning of next week. Give me a shout out (brflines@yahoo.com) if you'd like to say hello!

Chris Guccione

Hey guys. Another update to the brflines site today.

Chris Guccione of Australia was added today. Just one pic.

Olympic Underwear Flap

Ari from the Brieflines Yahoo Group asked about the whole New Zealand men's olympic field hockey underwear flap in a post to the group.

I was so excited to see the post because for a moment I thought that Olympic officials were pervy enough to notice and reprimand New Zealand for wearing colored briefs under their white unis.

Further investigation on my part revealed that they were reprimanded for wearing black compression shorts. Poopers! A picture of the offending undergarments is attached.

But I did have a little fun looking for photos. One of the teams, Pakistan, is fully compliant with the same color for uni shorts/underwear regulation, as proven by the attached photo.

Formatting

I'm a glutton for punishment. I went back to the very first blog post to institute the new style changes that I adopted around April 2008 as far as pics and hyperlinking...

So here's a question for all of you. Can anyone out there tell what's more annoying then making formatting changes to a hundred or so blog entries? Well, the answer is nothing. It's pretty damned annoying.

I changed all of the profile pictures in the entries (or added profile pics where they were missing) to the graphic called "xxxxprofpic1.jpg" where xxxx is the player's last name. These photos are smaller versions of each player's profile. pics. I did this in anticipation of running out of storage space for the blog somewhere down the line.

Anyway, it's all done now, so I can stop my bitching!

Eric Butorac

Hey dudes. To make up for missing a post yesterday, I'm going to do multiple posts today.

The first for today is a one pic addition to the page for Eric Butorac, an American player.

He's best known for his doubles play (esp. with Jaime "Stretch" Murray, Andy Murray's brother). I saw him playing in the Countrywide Classic this previous week and he looked pretty good. I'm pretty sure that he also won the doubles, but don't take my word for it.

Anyway, this pic was from the Stella Artois championships that precede Wimbledon. Enjoy!

Alex Bogdanovic

Hey boys. Late update tonight...

And it's two pictures of Alex Bogdanovic that were added to the brieflines site. One of the photos on the page isn't showing up but I have to fix it later, since imageshack is acting up again.

I spent the large part of the day (~five hours) looking for new brieflines photos. I sent a bunch out to the Y! group. If you are a member, you should check your email for them. If you're not a member, perhaps you should think about joining.

Peace out!

1,300!

So sometime last week, the brflines site reached the auspicious goal of hosting over 1,300 photos of tennis player brieflines.

When I stopped to pontificate on it some, I realized that is a lot of photos. But somehow I think this is just a small sample of what is out there since the vast majority of the photos come from the public domain. My heart starts to race if I think about getting unfettered access to professional photo sites like Getty :oP.

I would also like to mention that I have completed the re-format of the individual player pages so that it coincides with the 1,300 goal. One of the unintended (but serendipitous) outcomes of the reformat is the increased interactivity between the blog and the site, which to me is a huge positive.
Anyway, I can blah blah blah about it, but for the sake of brevity, I highlighted the changes in the two attached screenshots. The bottom shot is the new format, the top is the old format. I hope you guys like.

A bientot!

Stefan Koubek

Hey guys, I added one photo to Stefan Koubek's site on the brflines site.

No need to surf over to the site, actually, since the new photo has been attached to this post.

Marat Safin

I added nine new photos of Marat Safine to the brflines site!

I hope you guys enjoy seeing just what Marat wears under those shorts.

Oh and sorry about the brevity and infrequency of posts. Last week was kind of killer at work, but I should have a much easier week this week and hopefully catch up some.

Have you guys been watching the olympics games? I briefly caught the mens double finals between Switzerland and Sweden. Damn, Thomas Johansson was wearing some pretty see through white shorts. I hope I can find it somewhere to download.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the pics of Mr. Safin. Until tomorrow....

Diego Hartfield

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about today's update.

I added Diego Harftield of Argentina to the blog. His page begins with two photos. Enjoy

Mikhail Youzhny

Hey guys, I made a very small vid clip of Mikhail Youzhny's brieflines at Wimbleon. The URL is available after the cut...

Avail for download here.

Igor Kunitsyn

Hey guys I added two new pics to Igor's page on the brflines site.

Not much more to say about it. Go check them out!

Novak Djokovic

Hey guys, as I mentioned in my post yesterday, today's update would be additions to Nole's page.

I added ten more photos to his page on the brflines site and fixed a couple of broken picture links.

These should be the last of Nole from Roland Garros. The next update for him will include pics from Wimbledon and later.

Feliciano Lopez

Hey dudes. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Today's update to the brflines site is to Feliciano Lopez's page.

I added ten photos to his page on the site. Not much more to say about that.

I've got a ton of Novak Djokovic pics waiting in the queue to be posted, so I'm going to do an unscheduled update to his site tomorrow and post the remaining photos (about ten I believe) from Roland Garros to the brflines site--so keep an eye out for them.

Ciao!

Andre Sa

My detour to South America takes me to Brazil!

Brazilian player, Andre Sa, has one more photo to his teeny tiny page on the brflines site.

I once read an interview with American player, Eric Butorac, who said that Andre Sa was one of the most-liked players on the tour because he has a good sense of humor and is multi-lingual. Huh, who knew? And does that make him the ATP version of Ms. Congeniality?

Anyway, enjoy!

Paul Capdeville

I added a new player to the brflines site this morning.

It's Paul Capdeville from Chile! I only have one pic of him thus far, so no need to browse to the main site (unless you want to view the over 1,500 brieflne pics available) because the one pic is attached to this post.

Arnaud Clement

I'm continuing my love affair with France, by making photo updates to Clement's page on the brflines site.

I added four pics of Clement to his page. The last three pics are especially hot, since they give us a nice close up view of the junk in his trunk.

I'm slowly still making individual profile formatting updates. I knocked out the players from Chile, Ukraine, Greece, and the Netherlands today. I'm also making broken pic link fixes along the way.

I hope you guys like the Clement update. Let me know!

Michael Llodra

I added three pics to Michael Llodra's page, but deleted two duplicates. So I guess you all netted one pic.

Two of the newer pics are of the higher quality images of the infamous Aussie Open strip down celebration--which is a brief lovers wet dream. Nice bulge, smokin hot body, small briefs-yum yum.

Julien Benneteau

The pics of Julien Benneteau are still trickling in, mostly from his run in Roland Garros.

I added five more pics to his page on the brflines site this morning. He is the beginning of four or five frenchmen in a row I'm going to be making updates to this coming week.

Later!

Marcello Melo

Hey guys, added a new guy to the site.

I added a page for Marcello Melo of Brazil to the brflines site. Go check it out!

Ivan Ljubicic

Good morning, guys. I made another update to the brflines site this morning.

I added three new pictures to Ivan Ljubicic's page. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Two small bits of other news:

1. I'm still formatting individual player pages. I made changes to all players from Russia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Australia, and Slovakia yesterday. I'm going to do Austria and some of the single player countries today.

2. I got a weird notice from google that they were going to stop supporting googlepages and move all existing webpages to google sites. I have no idea what that means but I'll keep you all in the loop as changes arise.

Ciao!
